Anti-Aging Supplement

Lifeline Therapeutics, Inc., Denver, CO, has introduced Protandim, a scientifically based anti-aging dietary supplement. Protandim contains a patent-pending formulation, which causes the body to produce more of its own natural antioxidant enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GPX). Protandim allows these enzymes to be produced within the cells where oxidative stress occurs. According to the company, Protandim has been demonstrated to decrease oxidation by as much as 60% in humans in the first 30 days of intake, and this percentage is expected to increase further after prolonged supplementation. Protandim is currently un­dergoing human trials at the Webb-Waring Institute of Cancer, Aging and Antioxidant Research.
